Hello friends.
We’re living in crazy times. Aren’t we?
I’m looking out the window, (yep just before writing this line) and enjoy seeing the raindrops fall. Good thing I live in a temporary phase of Quarantine :D, without even planning it (yep a writer’s life at times). Mourning doves are hanging around near the window but just left when they saw the Indian Myna arrive. The Indian Myna has a strong territorial instinct and the other birds often feel bullied by them especially when they’re in twos or more.
Huhchoo, sorry I just sneezed, lucky you’re on the other end of this screen ?. Some of the benefits of working from home during these times, hey. You know, I’ve been checking in with my tribe and in there we have people from so many countries. They’ve been updating via Whatsapp, while some are on social media talking about their shopping experience others are putting videos of the activities they’re doing with their kids, others are talking about the impact the Coronavirus crisis is having on the economy, our world, their day to day lives, the opportunities it’s creating and some people are beginning to ponder on their true calling. Posts of hope being sent around and massive shifts in people’s lives in just seven weeks with being with their family is inspirational what’s more inspirational is some have started a relationship with God/Source/Universe. It looks like the world just got one massive awakening in such a short period of time. A time to unite. An ironic way to build relationships.
My personal opinion, perhaps the Source/God/Universe wants the whole world to stop and reflect not for one day, not for one week, not for two weeks but more. Definitely, time for 100% self-care, self-love and being with your nearest and dearest, valuing the people and pets that matter in your life or plain and simple, the value of people and what they do in this world even as a job. A test of unconditional love. A test to find out what it means to love and not say anything without the person ever knowing it. A test for what you wished you should have done and when you get the chance you will get it done. A test for what you’ve never appreciated to be appreciated now. A test for what you’ve never cherished before to be cherished now. If you could start again now, how would you do it now? – T. Dench Patel, 17 March 2020, 23:00 You know more and more I am building the trust around “everything happens for a reason”. Wow, imagine if I was in England now, no family, no one and had to self-isolate, probably I’d be used to it because I lived alone for so long, working from home would probably be no different but I think I would be worried about my family in South Africa. I was worried for them even long before that; the violence especially, but you know what I once said to God/Source/Universe? “Never let me miss the chance to be with any family member especially if there is going to be a world catastrophe. Please God/Source/Universe find a way for me to spend as much time with them as possible because you know what you’re doing and why you’re doing it.”
It’s a perfect time to let addictions go, besides people will actually take interest in buying food, cooking it, eating healthy because no one really knows how long the lockdown is going to last, the way things can go or when the item will be stocked on the “self” again. A true wake-up call, on what really matters, and so God/Source/Universe bless these people. With true callings it’s essential to be shaken, otherwise, you’d never know it, you’d never act. – T. You know it’s a bit weird (but then again there’s a lot of weird things happening on our planet lately, one after the other) that a virus has gotten so far yet only preys on the older and weaker meaning our youth have a stronger chance of surviving it. Is this a message? Are we paving a good path for our youth, are we leaving any chances for them to live their dreams and change our world in a way that it really needs to? Are we holding onto old ways that no longer serve this world? Are we giving more or are we keeping it all?
I’m so grateful to have electricity and Wi-Fi today to be able to write and share this article.
Yours sincerely,
