Hello friends,
No… a o! No … Where did the time go this week? We were having so much fun!
The last article of this week, already? I don’t know, if we keep going on like this the reindeers are going to be here before Santa Claus, and I won’t have any leftover words to feed them with.
So, how’s it going? Honestly. We are only going to see each other again on Monday unless you’re on my Instagram. Monday is sooo far away. Promise me you will stay focused, and do your best to be positive?… I ain’t leaving unless you promise. All right, I’ll quit pressuring you. You have an entire article to read until you make your promise.
Are you looking for your purpose? What a loaded question. I half promise that by the end of this article you’ll have some idea on what you’re looking at when you think about this question, be it for you or an answer that someone else is looking for, maybe a friend, your kids… whoever. Okay… will you wait for me for half an hour? Just taking the doggy for a walk. I’ll be back.
…
…
…
Okay, back.
Alright, are you looking for your purpose? Can you go right back to your first memory, even if it means you were 2 years old? Perhaps it’s something vague. So, go as far back as your first memory and then visit everything else right up to when you chose to study your first college degree, certificate, whatever, and if for you that’s work, then work. Up to that point, you must have enjoyed something. My sister just revealed to me the other day that she was a good runner, practically good in sports. This was something she was known for at school and enjoyed. She once won a prize a couple of years ago for coming out third and was also assumed as a teenager for that award, haha, right! She described her face and the faces of those who she saw in the crowd that knew her real age as she stood on stage receiving the award. It only hit her then that she was receiving an award for under sixteen … everything happened so quick she said they didn’t ask her age when they pulled her out as the third runner-up in the under sixteen category as one of the winners.
There was another time when she was called on stage, and everyone in the crowd just kept shouting her name that the host asked, who is this person? Who here is Miss R, step forward, you’re very popular in the crowd? That was funny too. I wasn’t there, I just heard all about it. She was dressed in black and white and it was the Michael Jackson show.
You know, your purpose is yours, you first got to own it, then you owe it to yourself to do something with it, especially if it came so naturally to you, especially if it is something you never got bored of. Dyslexia, partially disabled, normal (whatever that means to you) whatever it is, there is something you enjoy, there is something that your name and destiny have been stamped with, but it will first take courage to begin the journey before you see the rewards. – T. No journey is less tiring than another when a person discovers their purpose and ends up going for it. Why? Because it will take constant faith even through temporary failures. The journey, at one moment, could feel like everything is over and then in 5 minutes it could go 10-fold and you’re in another dimension that you’ve never believed ever. It’s constant, the work is constant, the pivoting is constant, until…. Until you meet destiny or many destinies in one journey which adds up to … I don’t know… call it what you were made for!
It’s really interesting this journey I’ve taken on the minute I decided, that’s it, I’m not wasting more time on this. I’m going for what I’m good at even if people keep saying writers are poor. I’ve heard it for too long, it’s time to tell people the truth, it’s sentences like that, that stop artists from even starting and its sentences like that that make parents force their children to do something else rather than what comes naturally to them. What if I tell you, for the first time in my life this is the longest job I’ve been in, in my whole entire life? Well, it’s true, T. Dench Patel is going to be a company that has been running for three and a half years at the end of the year 2021. My longest track record in any job without even knowing or planning it. All I knew, in the beginning, was this, if I last for a year, that would be amazing already. Would you believe it? In October 2019 I thought it was going to be the end of T. Dench Patel. All I can say is this, when you are true to what you do, true to your intentions, try your best, keep your faith and belief, the universe conspires to keep you on track, and it keeps making new and awesome plans for you.
Look, I don’t know where all this is going to go, I don’t, all I know is that the Universe, the higher being, call it God, whatever you want, you who is reading this, all are being impacted with it and I certainly feel that I’m being supported especially if I’ve managed to stay around for this long, hopefully, a lifetime. 😊
Choosing the purpose cuts off a lot of unwanted stories going around in your head the minute you make that decision. It also cuts off a lot when it comes to skills and talents, the reason being you spent so much time learning it because you’ve been enjoying it, maybe all that’s left now is consistent mastery. That’s the easy part compared to a lifetime of doubting if you’re in the right place doing the right thing.
Yours sincerely,
T. Dench Patel
