Hello friends,
Oh! Boy! (Lads if you’re still around after the second paragraph maybe you should get the red badge of courage). Although some of you might be single dads to your daughters. I took very long to decide on the topic that I wanted to write about today because I kept fighting against the very strong urge that came through to write about this topic. You know, like the inner voice just nagging me the whole time. I was like, that’s it! It’s got to be done.
This is like taking a brave dive. I believe maybe one of the biggest brave dives I’ve ever taken compared to the other articles, but I know women have been keeping quiet about this if they haven’t got a group of girlfriends or if they have, then they’ve been talking about this long, yes, way long before this article arrived, amongst themselves or if they feel they can confide in a doctor or other specialists then this discussion definitely came up. Most of you ladies have been here, right? But, none of you wrote about it ?. Remember the time you’ve seen the Crimson tide arriving after years? And you’re like, “Gosh! I forgot how to ride the cotton pony! Has it been that long?”
Yes, we’re talking about shark week gals. Okay, so here’s what’s going down? I have met some women who have been taking the pill every single day since they were fifteen years old (yes that young) and when I met them some were roughly twenty three-years-old while others were roughly twenty-eight years old. Some women went off it and on it depending on whether they became single or not or if they wanted to get pregnant. Depending on the woman she’d either take the pill, the patch, the injection or the implant. For your education, you can see the various options here https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/contraception/. You can go to your countries’ government site to see the options your country has available. According to this article Hormonal contraceptive and your body, it states that most American and European women use at least one form of hormonal contraceptive (HC) and at some point in their lives they have tried the oral contraceptive (OC).
So here I am a bit shocked. When I was in this phase Something which no one writes about in domestic violence because it’s hardly ever touched on I got the implant which the nurse placed under the skin in my arm. There were many reasons why but the main one was because I refer to the phase in the article on the link where you can become a liability for yourself until you have control and confidence within yourself and at life again. It’s got something to do with trusting yourself all over again. The other reason was that it makes me happy go lucky, I don’t get mood swings. I guess I am a controller about how I want to feel on some things. So, say my body had been in a contraceptive coma for roughly ten years with a few breaks of three months every three years and so now guess what? It’s coming out of the coma. I am noting down the changes from a contraceptive coma to the awakening.
Usually, when you do go onto any sort of contraception, tests are done depending on your body type and your habits.
Going off mine which was done around the fact that I am sporty I didn’t have any massive side effects.
- It feels as if the body has been numbed from feeling because suddenly, I feel like I am feeling more. Like in terms of emotions (good ones, we’ll get to crimson tide soon), they’re coming back to life again. (You know like when you watch those movies like for example Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, waking up from a coma which she was in for four years, even less than a woman on hormonal contraceptives who has a massive crimson tide with her katana) It’s almost like that, lucky I didn’t wake up with rage. ?
- It seems to be confused.
- Oh! Boy, I am not happy to see Bloody Mary after so many years, secondly, to be able to still not predict shark week and thirdly, when shark week does show up it’s like oh God, the body is tired because it’s working on making crimson tide happen. I was like “What, why am I feeling down, this isn’t me? Why can’t I concentrate on writing today?” Then later on, “Oh! Now we know why?” Thank god chocolate came from the heavens. What would we do without chocolate more so, what would we do without dark chocolate?
I believe it’s healthy to give your body a break from these chemically induced hormones, absolutely but other side effects for other women are that the chemically induced hormones make them moody.
This study here Effects of hormonal contraceptives on mood – Focus on emotional recognition and reactivity, reward processing and stress responsivity goes into the following. Read the summary if the analysis sounds too technical for you.
- Hormonal contraceptives affect women’s mood with specific emphasis on the psychological and neurophysiological mechanisms.
- Some oral and the hormonal contraceptives have different effects on women while some can create depression and irritability others create anti-depression.
The article on the link above Hormonal contraceptive and your body says it depends on the woman and her body and not every woman has these side effects. Some studies also show that the HC can lower libido or increase it. If there is anyone out there who knows about women’s libido with the HC and can advise them, let me know, in my inbox some ladies have left me a few questions around this. Hope in the meantime this article will help you Sex drive foods for female.
You know they say Crimson Tide is still one of the greatest submarine movies to this day. I’m guessing it’s because of the population of women who have seen and still watch this movie. We’re all learning how to successfully not launch missiles, but if you’re French, I’m guessing for you it’s all about the English “Les Anglais ont debarqué” translating to “The English have landed”.
Have you been in a contraceptive coma? Tell us what was it like, your experience and what it felt like coming out in the comments section.
Yours sincerely,
