Hello friends.
How was Easter break? I guess not so different from being every day at home these days. No difference anymore to school holidays and being permanently at home, isn’t?
Let’s take a trip today, we’ll have our talk in a different setting. Imagine that you are dressed your best. Imagine what dressing your best looks like? Hmm, I’m seeing me … damn where the hell was that dress all my life? How bout you? What you’re imagining? You have your bags packed. Can you imagine what’s in your bags? What’s your favourite wear? What did you pack in there that’s perfect for the destination you’ve always wished to go to? Guess where we’re going? It’s between your favourite place and the place you’ve always wanted to see. That is exactly where we’re heading. We’re all on this private jet and it’s done, you’ve got the best service, you’ve got the best of everything, you got one of the best experiences in your life, yet to come…
The private jet has an awesome bartender who specialises in hot drinks, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. He and she love this, they love serving us and creating unique experiences. We also have a chef on board who has already made note of everyone’s favourite dishes, dinner is going to be something else on this jet. The seatbelt sign just went off and you are in for one fantastic ride. Those who want to get a drink and watch the latest movie, still to be released; The South African: True Colours can go an watch the movie on the big screen and those who want to have the unique drink tasting, chocolate and cheese tasting experience can meet at the bar while we socialise and listen to some soft chill-out music. Those who just want some alone time can go back to their seats, listen to music, watch another movie from the selection of movies available, play games or take a nap at their seat before dinner time.
Dinner is a surprise ladies and gentlemen, but you’re still getting over the amazing service onboard, and the best part was that each person got a chance to go and sit in the cockpit to watch the sky or have a chat with the pilot. The pilot was so nice that he has given you a ticket to use during your trip for a half an hour free learn to fly a helicopter session.
You cannot believe your eyes, ears, nose, tongue and hands, that you just pinch yourself over and over again wondering if this is real. You get to use the bathroom, change into your pyjamas and adjust your seat and your space so that you can have a good night sleep. No one wants to sleep but we’re landing in a couple of hours and what awaits us at the destination is more of what no one on this experience has ever got to live. So, embrace yourself.
We all wake up at roughly seven-thirty in the morning, go to the bathroom, wash our face and get dressed and by 9 am everyone is refreshed and ready for breakfast. The smell of freshly baked croissants, coffee, chocolate fills the air, it is sooo divine. The pure fresh juice and the sight of the fruit seem almost as if it’s been picked out just for you and it gets you right into the mood that we want, that you want; the spirit of abundance that you truly deserve, which is still waiting for you in about one and a half hours’ time. You still can’t imagine what you’ve done to get on this plane, how you’ve got to be in this environment with like-minded people like you, and how come you deserve to come to the destination you’ve always been dreaming of. So I’m here to tell you, deserve isn’t the word you’re searching for, it’s your birthright, if you’ve come on this planet, you already deserve all of this, you just didn’t give yourself permission to have it until now.
We’ve landed, you’ve come to an incredible place, you’re staying in a dream. A dream beyond a dream… We are planning to meet for our talk at 13:15, Authenticity gets you off the hook which starts at 2 pm in front of the private beach which is a two-minute walk from whichever end of the hotel you are staying in. We will let you tell us about your experience of your hotel and stay with us during this time, but please do not forget, Authenticity gets you off the hook is one of the main reasons why you’re here with us today. You will find this conversation beneficial to you for a lifetime just like this experience you’re having at this dream destination made only for you.
Okay, so here we are. It’s 13:15 and we’re handing out bags to everyone. You know this nice brown paper bags. We still don’t encourage you to open as yet. Everyone has these brown paper bags. You are now guided to the talk, but you are surprised to be guided to a zone that is protected because of the exotic plants and rock with the sun coming in and out at times. We all sit down on the beach sand in a circle, the air is warm and we can hear the breeze running through the natural rocks, plants, flowers, as well as the trickling sound of the natural tiny rivers, ponds, the fish coming up to take some air, the sound of some frogs, and exotic birds. Most of the plants seem evergreen. One bigger gush of air comes in and guess what? Blue butterflies everywhere surround us. Blue and black coloured butterflies everywhere around us down low, and very high up… they almost seem like they are glowing with the sun coming in and out… Imagine that…
You open your brown paper bags and find a nice thick hot chocolate drink, for those who didn’t want chocolate you got the drink of your preference in there, which is warm, natural and sobering. You’ve got a freshly made sandwich made with avocado and some pieces of mango for dessert. You got to eat up because it’s two minutes to two and we’re about to start. All coffee, cocoa, chocolate, fruit, tea is grown right here in this place.
Here we are in a circle and I’ve been dying to tell you about authenticity which is a buzz word and a very important word right now in the current world we live in but like anything in life there are side effects to having too much or too little of something and authenticity is one of them. Authenticity is a great thing to have, firstly to have grown up conditioned and to remove this conditioning practising authenticity is important. Reminding yourself constantly who you are not, what are your values and morals. This is a massive step for everyone because you have to rule out judgement all the time. After practising enough authenticity which itself is work because not only do you practise authenticity you also have to manage what comes with it in your life daily; firstly, the people who have never known you this way, can’t get used to it, and the ones you have to let go of. Then to come to the place where you are satisfied that you have ripped out all that was not you and to embody fully that which you are (with the good and the bad), but what if the bad is really getting you on the wrong side of things and bringing you some issues? Are you ready to continue the work that comes from finding your authentic self and then leaping over to the best version of yourself?
This is where a lot of people get stuck. This is where a lot of people get lazy. This is where a lot of people will tell themselves a whole lot of stories because they’re not ready, don’t make time or don’t have time to do more groundwork, get further in life, work on themselves more, and create a better life all the time. We’re creating all the time, we’re reinventing ourselves, recreating better ways of thinking keep raising our standards, technology changes, old systems change and so to remain current, to compete so that we can stay in the game and live our best lives is not an easy task at all. There are a lot of people that quit trying. Do you know where massively authenticity can be such a disadvantage? It’s when you begin to date or socialise and you realise, “Oh! Damn! Where’s my mojo?” or for the ladies, “Where’s my sass gone? Hmm, how did you disappear on me and since when?”
Sure be authentic all the time, this is the best thing and the second best thing you can do for yourself after is to level up on what you need/require, acquire it and then implement it in your life. Like adding little tweaks here and there not twerks, that’s something else. Tweaks is the word ?.
When I think about me studying and entering the world of business, I had to learn. Going to England at the age of twenty-one and starting to work for an American company was interesting. They provided training and sometimes you came home with a certificate. Working full-time from the age of nineteen I picked up from watching different people, the way they did business, the way they dressed, how they spoke and came across or did things. I simply observed and where I had a chance to get training, I took it. I was lucky to learn from many people and like every person on the planet you do pick up some things from the wrong leaders or some pretending to be leaders and if you’re anything similar to me, by now you would be a better leader. No lesson ever goes to waste in life.
Authenticity can get you off the hook like for example if you want to push yourself at being a better speaker, or better in your niche and if people are starting to see you as a role model or an authority figure you really need to walk the walk and talk the talk which is not always easy. To be a leader, you need to constantly ensure that you are practising what you are preaching. Not every leader has it figured out and therefore don’t let authenticity fool you by not levelling up especially when you know the areas you really need to work on. The more you know and practice, the more impact you can make with your presence and what you know. – T. Dench Patel, 14 April 2020, 16:10
Best of luck, have a nice time here and a safe trip home. Oh! And one more thing, come here at night, the butterflies really do glow in the dark…
Yours sincerely,
