Happy Valentine’s Day
Half Love-Loved Half
Love makes the world go round,
we find ourselves travelling so far North,
only to end up South,
even then, we struggle to keep our feet on the ground.
–
Love takes us places we’ve never been,
from flames, to rainbows and everywhere in our dreams.
–
We live in a world of creations made from love,
and it’s okay to love things,
they too break down and leave.
Pure love remains rare and lucky if found.
This kind of love doesn’t give half,
it’s highly tuned, highly sound.
–
Love comes in gifts, forever gold,
and the words we’re told,
yet the purest love is a feeling that we cannot tangibly hold,
be bought, borrowed nor sold.
–
Maybe love is meant to be half,
in a world where lions conceive and eat cubs,
where mothers giving birth to young
quickly encourage them to run.
–
But if living beings feel short of love in this wild wild world,
then we need to work together harder, with truth and
several healed souls.
Deserving, undeserving, so confusing
always in this half love giving,
with this tough love living.
–
