Hello friends,
hope you are well as we get closer and closer to more days that keep going at lightening speed before we see Christmas twenty-twenty one again. Before you can count to ten it’s already here, that’s how it feels for moi.
Don’t ask me where this title came from, it is the fault of God, universe, higher being, whatever you want to call it… Here it is … being served ?.
Please don’t judge me with the next lines that I’m about to say. You know with all this fear of COVID, I am not being a liability at all to anyone, but I truly feel that I am the soldier/daughter of the highest like billions of sons and daughters out there and I feel like it’s alright where the next calling is directing me to go even if it means I have to go through COVID jungle untouched. I trust I am prepared for uncertainty.
Bring it on, where’s my shield of faith and protection, where’s my mask, where’s my gear, where’s my vaccine? Oh, wait, is my planet a low-income planet? I hope the news out there isn’t true that low-income planets have to wait for vaccines for a very long time? … “Let’s go, Thor… Loki, I don’t want you going loco!” “You, over there, yes you, Anthony Hopkins, have our backs, please… oh and why do we have to go through a wormhole that brings us out on the other side in a form of a butterfly Odin? Sorry, I mean Anthony Hopkins?” (again, in film script land).
Okay, let me get to the point. I really was kind of surprised and impressed when this title came up. Shall I go again and be blatantly honest. So many people over the last three years (recent years only) told me that in the past they were successful, reasonably well off and were right A-holes; mostly the men. Some of them started meditating and following spirituality and that’s going really well for them. They even admitted that they’ve had/have friends way wealthier than them and by some kind of luck, blessing the crises didn’t take away their businesses. When they took a good, hard look around, they saw this, it was mainly the A-holes that were in the same boat. The lesson was, that the friends whose businesses were still up, and running were not only seriously wealthy, but they were seriously humble. I walked away with the lesson in that story clear about how I’d like to operate in life.
Not only does being an A-hole returns right back to bite one back on the ass, but one also doesn’t actually know how many people have them in their mind’s eye down in the naughty list. It really does pile up… and so what do we want to be known for? Or more so what have we been known for the minute waiters and waitresses/ other workers of other places see us walking into their food chain, restaurant, etc.? “Oh! There’s that grouchy old dude,” and when you look around all the waiters and waitresses ran away leaving you to serve him/her. I was once a waitress and I did get treated like rubbish on a few occasions but at least that taught me to respect front line people. See, right now this lesson above has taught billions of people to respect front line people. No longer have a cleaner, no longer have a gardener, no longer have an assistant, no longer have a helper, no longer have that customer, no longer…?
Hey, maybe the mood that I’m in got me writing this article, you know when writers get onto the page it’s uncertain what sort of mood they’d be writing with. It just comes as it comes and this what you see here flows out, and on this specific day, it is this. Okay, so I’ve just been idling here as more thoughts enter.
Let me spin it on its head, can you remember the smallest good deed of someone who’s been labelled as an A-hole?
Sometimes one can be mistakenly dubbed as an A-hole especially if they’re trying to be in alignment with their values, saying “No,” isn’t an easy thing and saying “No,” sometimes doesn’t come with an explanation for so many unknown reasons out there.
Look if you meet an A-hole have compassion, everyone is on a journey in life, and not everyone is on the same spiritual level, the day of revelation does come, however, one can’t be classed as an A-hole on just one occasion, then that would be called judgement. It takes months and years of continuous attitude and behaviours to build a reputation as an A-hole.
The truth is that everyone has an A-hole in them but it’s a choice that one makes on how they want to react or if they want to react. It’s a choice of who is dominant; the A-hole chimp or the angel. – T. Dench Patel, 30 December 2020, 20:07
