how are you today?

Today, in winter, South Africa feels like a very hot summer’s day. While I meditated in the scorching sun for twenty-five minutes, oh boy! Was I glad to return indoors, not something I would usually say during winter. If Coronavirus was close by it would have died straight away with the boiling hot sun that I basked in which radiated transparently through me (that’s how it felt) in my deep meditative state.

It took a while today to settle into this subject. Alright, ready for a cuppa? Let’s get one. Let’s see who gets back to the table first. First one gets to clear up after dinner today. 😀 …

What is spiritual instinct?

Spiritual instinct is the natural instinct a person feels even when they can’t put a finger on why they’re feeling what they’re feeling. It’s a natural feeling that makes a human want to transform or change something in their current existence. It’s the nagging voice of change. Perhaps even a natural evolution that the spirit is calling for in the human being.

Maybe this quote below can help you formulate the full definition of spiritual instinct.

The more and more this inner voice reaches the depts of your soul on the daily basis until you finally act on its calling, you yourself have been stopping or procrastinating it all along because your fear of the spiritual calling unlocking you and what you think you’re dependent on from the bearings is going to leave you in a whole lot of uncertainty in every way possible which is very likely going to crack you open. How else can the bud crack open? Universal forces which may come in any size, shape or form.

See, for a long time, I have been welcoming adversities and the same amount of time I have also become so sick of them that over the recent years those who can see things more clearly from the outside have been telling me, “Hey, Dench Patel, that is why your story is so interesting. Imagine how much impact you are going to make in the world with everything cracking you open?” You can imagine my expression then? It was like, “Heck with the impact! Right now, can someone make this disappear? It doesn’t feel like I am going to be impacting no one, right now I’m the main protagonist in Deep Impact. Okay, a little overdramatic there, Armageddon. Better?”

If I didn’t do my job properly with this article then heck please do fire me from the main protagonist role of Armageddon, (warning), you don’t want to do that… how many times have you seen a woman save the world? ? (Busy getting into the orange astronaut suit with my head in a fishbowl).

Alright back to the title of this article Spiritual Instinct and Spiritual Intelligence. I finally began hearing what those who mean well-meant because often people on the outside can see better into things than the person going through it. So, the last time I had a cracking open moment, taking their word for it… I cracked open with all my might making a grand entrance. Those of you who have been following my story on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube would know this part of the story better and where I am coming from.

This is why it breaks my heart when I hear of someone who has taken their own life, hence why I thought this article will be useful. Please share this article with anyone you think is losing hope or can’t get a grip onto a stronger or more profound concept. My message to you and all is to not read so much into the darkness if you stand back from a place of light and awareness on both your internal and external world you wouldn’t take emotionally charged events personally. Incorporate gratitude in your daily practices, stop, stand still, block out all the unnecessary noise, keep focusing on the fact that all this will pass. Only then will you be able to surrender to the spiritual awakening, only then your true spiritual instinct rises strongly above you to guide you.

Spiritual intelligence is a process which begins with a choice. There will always be a positive or a negative, it’s very important not to miss that, it’s important to grab a hold of your thoughts like for instance you can choose either hope or despair but to keep moving forward in the path of hope the process of whatever it is you’re dealing with would require guidance. Where does the guidance come from? Guidance comes from signs, synchronicities; anything to reading a book to meeting a person or something to help you through the process by which your spiritual instinct acts on. Both work hand in hand; spiritual instinct and spiritual intelligence.

Spiritual intelligence is a practice just like how you make your body stronger through exercise, get a healthier body through looking after your health and eating properly, spiritual intelligence can be a ritual like for example daily meditation and gratitude, spiritual intelligence is a continuous process, it’s taking out time for yourself. Spiritual intelligence is a tool, to help you understand pain, difficult situations, difficult circumstances, grief, etc. Spiritual intelligence helps you pay attention to life, brings you closer to your spirit and to be grounded in the forces within you.
