Hello friends,
what! We’re already on the last article of the week.
State of flow or “living in the zone,” honestly, this will be another very good article which works with this one How little things tell a big tale. Don’t take State of flow or “living in the zone” lightly, especially if you read
https://tdenchpatel.com/how-little-things-tell-a-big-tale/
Why?
See the above article received the second most number of comments on my site within a month after it was put out. Till now it keeps receiving comments daily and many people are saying that this is the best thing out there that they’ve found so far to help them run their lives.
Now…
This current article provides clarity of what the above article on the link is asking you to do.
State of flow or “living in the zone,” is not an article for readers who are not willing to put in the effort to take action on the daily basis so that they can flow without distractions or work in harmony balancing every aspect of their lives as they go after their desired goals or lifestyle.
So if you plan to stay in the ninety-nine percent zone, that is no way helping you to “live in the zone.” This article isn’t for you if you plan to continue judging people, looking at others rather than yourself, criticising others rather than being the change you wish to first see in yourself. This article is for those who are out of victim mentality, this article is for those who really understand that it’s not personal, it’s life, no minute worth wasting on s***!
So, I’m here to teach you the combining factors required to reach a state of flow and rule no. 1, you can’t please everyone, you really must ignore the naysayers. Understand the common reason why most people won’t support you on your endeavours is purely because of envy and jealousy, the fear that you WILL make it.
Ever wondered why die-hard surfers won’t stop surfing? Ever wondered why die-hard rollerbladers won’t stop rollerblading? Ever wondered why die-hard skateboarders just won’t stop skateboarding? Studies have narrowed it down to a state of flow, i.e. living in the zone, the article on the link above shows you how you can achieve a state of flow on the daily basis.
Take a look at this video about Slomo who was once driven by material gains, he was a psychiatrist and a neurologist. He goes into lateral acceleration which makes most of us feel good which has a neurological explanation. Acceleration stimulates a set of receptors in the inner ear that connects us with the centre of the earth by gravity. The reason why he keeps skating is so that he can keep the continuous acceleration with the centre of the earth even though it’s very small and when constant the feeling of expansion begins to build. The angular acceleration feeling can be used even for meditation. The feeling of “happy” made him think that he had to diagnose himself. Slomo was sixty-nine years of age at the time this documentary was shot.

Real freedom where he escapes all day, he doesn’t apologise and does what he wants to. He even admits that once upon a time he was an ass***e.
According to Wikipedia “Flow” can be described as in positive psychology, a flow state, also known colloquially as being in the zone, is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by the complete absorption in what one does, and a resulting transformation in one’s sense of time.”
When reaching the optimal state of flow the brain releases five chemicals, i.e. norepinephrine, dopamine, serotonin, anandamide, and endorphins according to The neurochemistry of flow states and that is when we can perform our best.
Now, can you understand why humans can become so addicted to drugs instead of achieving the higher state of consciousness through natural activities without disturbing the body’s natural compass, or mechanisms? Taking external substances messes with the brain and with the release of chemicals.
I mean there are many articles out there on the internet if you just type in Google’s search box “state of flow,” if you do have more interest around this topic.
That’s all from me on this post, looking forward to our next one. Have a lovely rest of the week and a wonderful weekend.
Yours sincerely,
T. Dench Patel
