Hello friends,
hope you are well.
Here we are on another Tuesday… did you miss me? I certainly missed you (saying this with having my hand on my forehead) Alright, with my hand on my heart (ouch! It’s better off being on the forehead for now). I mean would I have been safer typing in a room rather than meditating outside in the green? Basically, it snuck up on me, then it attacked me… yes, a spider. Hit and run! Didn’t even see the little critter. Silent, as the night… I had no idea I even got bitten… and oh! Boy! … the next day… It’s not even Halloween as yet and I scared a bunch of people already the minute they saw my face. 😀
It’s been two weeks of getting a bite here and there… I told my dad that mother nature’s species must have had a meeting in the garden and my sister spat out… they must have said, “Let’s make this beauty into a beast, HA HA HA,” and then dad goes, “they like your blood,” while mum believes I have been blessed, “Blessed!” Did you get that? “Blessed!” Mum said God blessed me with a “Chandlo,” long story, in my book The South African: True Colours there is an explanation of what “Chandlo” means. Well, if I have been blessed, then long live the feminine energy… I believe mum! Love that. I should get bitten more often 😉… ooo wait I do take that back. What about my brother… “Wow! No one has ever been bitten like that and we all live here, how come you got bitten?” Me, “I don’t know, it’s my destiny…. HA HA HA, there can only be one, only one… and she is Petra Parker (Please don’t send the goblin she says in a voice filled with fear) … Then the other family members… Oh! Boy! I tell ya. Alright! Enough drama… We are living the “Amazing” Spiderman, el hombre araña as they say in Spain right now… If we keep going on at this rate, Spiderwoman will make the world forget that there was such a thing as the “Amazing” Spiderman. Okay, onto today’s title The 99% keeps the system in its place, while the 1% works at breaking through the cage, yes, hard topic to swallow and I hope from now on something good will come out of this new earth that is coming together (nope not any unknown spider species). I mean seriously, some people have been trying hard for a very… very… very… long time. These are people who no longer can relate to working within the system, these are the people who without even considering it have had challenges or even another reality far from average, their stories can relate so deeply to or resonate intensely with others akin to their wisdom and their pain. There is some sort of sanctuary that can be found in soul contracts whether they’re temporary or permanent – T. Dench Patel, 8 February 2021, 22:13
It’s real, yes, the system… It works for those who are comfortable but not for those who are I’m-possible. What is the system? Doing the 9-5, allowing someone to tell you that you can’t do it again and again, over and again, not necessarily harmful, simply because the 99% still haven’t shaken off their fear, they still haven’t been properly able to believe in themselves without betraying themselves over and over and over again, until one day.
Let’s think about it, you choose, you can choose to be fearless, and you can be found. Mary Kom, heard of her? Born on the 24 November 1982, the first female Indian amateur boxer who for the first time has won World Amateur Boxing Champion for a record 6 times. The only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first 7 World Championships and the only boxer (male or female) to win 8 World Championship Medals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Kom I mean the list goes on, “The Only” all over the place. There is something that is “Only” about you if you choose to break through the cage, or you will always be asking what if I just gave it a shot?
Heard of Budhia Singh? The world’s youngest marathon runner. He won 48 marathons at the age of 5 years old. Still not confirmed, the story goes as he was sold to a Salesman for Rs. 850 at the age of 2. Biranchi bought him from the Salesman then learnt about his talents. In fact, Budhia needs our help even today https://www.facebook.com/supportBudhiaSingh/, please support him. To find out why watch the movie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budhia_Singh_Born_to_Run .
Let’s face it, to break through the cage it takes guts. What’s worst, having guts to continue living without ever finding out (still nothing is guaranteed) or having the guts to find out? – T. Dench Patel, 8 February 2020, 23:00
Another word for the cage is also known as the Glass ceiling. What is the glass ceiling? According to the article on the link below Glass ceiling is a metaphor for the evident but intangible hierarchical impediment that prevents minorities and women from achieving elevated professional success. Perhaps it’s handy to look at the statistics on the link below of how women are affected.

This article below is also pretty good.
3 things you can do to stand out and break the glass ceiling at work
How bout a different angle? Take a look at this article below.
Why millennial women need to stop breaking the glass ceiling
How women can break the glass ceiling
There were some really good points made in this article for example,
“The U.S Department of labor defines the glass ceiling as the “invisible—but impenetrable—barrier(s) between women and the executive suite, preventing them from reaching the highest levels of the business world regardless of their accomplishments and merits”. These barriers are often undetectable; they are unwritten rules and decisions made under the influence of unconscious biases.”
Or this piece,
“For many, if not most women, invisible barriers exist that prevent them from climbing to the top of workplace hierarchies and from finding their footing in leadership roles. Branching out on your own and becoming an entrepreneur is certainly an option, but the majority of people will see their careers through to the end in the mainstream labor force. In order to break the ‘glass ceiling’ that these barriers form- or to at least crack it – organizations need to do more to eliminate the obstacles that prevent women from advancing and to foster work environments that allow them to work collaboratively to achieve their goals.”
Or what Ally has to say,
“The biggest challenge throughout my career so far has been asking for what I’m worth. I think women in general have a hard time asking for what they are worth because it’s ingrained in us from the beginning that we have to be accommodating. In business, people will always try to get you for the lowest price, and women are used to being offered and often accepting the lowest wage. It took some time for me to discover the strength to ask for what I am worth and stick to it.”

I found this piece really interesting from this article
“Release yourself from the “good girl” mentality
In school, girls are rewarded for being nice, compliant, and patient. At work, women are not rewarded for these qualities. In fact, they are often held back by them.
Being a professional leader means taking risks and navigating conflict. It requires speaking up about opinions, asserting ideas, and rendering your achievements visible. But the “good girl” has not practiced these skills. When we encourage young women to release themselves from the “good girl” mentality, we invite them to express their authentic selves. From this place, they will make their richest contributions to society.”
I mean I can understand that this article The 99% keeps the system in its place, while the 1% works at breaking through the cage in the initial parts of the article stated a lot about breaking through and as I did more research at the latter part I’ve realised women are most affected, needless to say, whatever you gender, it’s still hard to break through the cage but for women even harder. We are entering a new world where removing the entire racial, gender, rich, poor, caste and nationality xenophobia really needs to be thrown out of the window. To stand out as being authentic in what you genuinely attempting to do is more rewarding.
Yours sincerely,
