Hello friends,
How are you? Hope you had a lovely weekend wherever you are in the world and Monday wasn’t so bad in the end.
I have decided to go with this topic today. You know, you can think one thousand things in the present moment but from those one thousand things the thought/thoughts you select at that very moment might end up creating a better future for you and others or the opposite. These thoughts can decide where you plan to take action in your life, who you will end up with and be surrounded by, what each outcome is at the end of every decision that you’ve made etc.
You and I are intelligent enough. Perhaps you’ve read all my articles or just some and perhaps this is your first time here. If so, a warm welcome to you, and I really hope my articles and books impact yours and the life of others around you. Going back to my articles, there’s so much to do and remember right? There is no one way to success be it in your relationships, finances, career, health, spiritual goals etc. There are thousands/millions of good ways and better ways that your brain is limited to, purely because you don’t know any better.
What brings me to this article is awareness and observation from the eyes of a traveller. As a traveller, I lived life like this.
“I don’t know how long I am going to be able to travel for, I don’t know if I will end up living in this country or not, I don’t even know if I will end up getting citizenship, but I am here, right now I have the health, time, money and a chance to travel. Will I see this city again? I don’t know. Will I see this town again? I don’t know. Will I see these people again? I don’t know, but I better make the best of it while it lasts because if there’s one rule I have given myself then it’s this; live without regrets.”
Currently, I am very rooted and have come back to my roots full circle. By returning to your roots, you can sit still, observe, not react, not control (I sometimes complain), but I’m learning that it’s time to learn something way beyond words, beyond anything ever; enlightenment. Now, after seeing, integrating, travelling for eighteen years, I have the opportunity to return to my roots and live what I’ve rejected and haven’t appreciated or taken stock of and that is the world I once knew before travelling.
The whole thing as is; the good, bad and the ugly. I have learnt some beautiful things about myself and this world I’ve left but we are here to talk about the title of this article The priorities in your present reality is what guarantees your future. As a Hindu girl (when I put my Hindu girl hat on), I often remembered that mistakes, thinking out of the box, expressing your desires, needs and wants, living your truth wasn’t and perhaps even right now are not taken positively. People are too comfortable looking for a life of comfort from one level to the next. It never ends and rarely people leave their comfort zone. By the way, this does happen everywhere in the world but as an Indian woman, I felt that this restricted me and my growth.
When you live a comfortable life just serving your wants, needs and desires without any true purpose you forget to notice how blessed you currently are. People get lost, emotionally, spiritually, physically, mentally bankrupt as well as literally bankrupt. The present choice you make, I feel, should be a future present feeling of the one you have right now but only magnified in the future, not the far opposite. Happiness is success, I’ve probably said this in another article of mine, but I am here to repeat that statement for the purpose of this article.
Let me put this in context for you
You know what it’s like to come in and out of airports hoping one day someone will be waiting there to welcome you back from all your trips? You meet a partner who really connects with you and understands parts of you, your life and the way you think that maybe you, yourself haven’t even got until meeting this person. Never again when she/he is based not far from the area where you’re flying to and from do you feel that feeling you had when you were a lone traveller years ago.
It is acting on the detail of that present reality that will determine your future success. The fact that you acted on that thought because this relationship means so much to you; you try as much as possible to be there before the plane lands for your partner, wife or husband. This can only mean so much to you because of the history of not so cool stuff that happened in this department in your life and then being in sync with your other half (on how they feel when they go to and from airports) on such a profound level and constantly choosing to keep up the effort in that action that you’ve chosen. Details that you take action on, or don’t take action on, take advantage of negatively or cheat someone subconsciously now whether it’s a self-inflicted action or an action/words onto someone else decides/makes the future.
So, my homework for you today is to look at your family/partner/girlfriend and close friends. See how much they invest in you and you already know this and why. Where are you not recognising them or disrespect their efforts through small habits and actions? Small issues can become giant fish. They can come back to eat you sometimes – T. Dench Patel, 28 Janurary 2020, 15:19 By the way, if you’re still building something, early days leaves clues.
You know when couples, friendships, family relations fall apart, don’t end up being the person that feels the regret; of not putting in the work that took five seconds or sometimes twenty minutes or more. Rather make your relationship work (not force), make it work “over time” by putting in seconds and minutes of “extra time” rather than it getting to no more time with no next time… T. Dench Patel, 28 January 2020, 15:27
By then you have passed the limit; no more corners, free kicks or penalties. When you’re out you’re out and when the game is over it’s over. T. Dench Patel, 28 January 2020, 15:35
So friends, play fair, play hard, smart and choose right throughout the whole game at every present moment whether you get the ball or not, get to kick it or not because you don’t know when things are about to change for the better or the worse. T. Dench Patel, 28 January 2020, 15:38
Life is very much like a football game.
Yours sincerely,
