Hello friends,
Hope you are well today, here in South Africa, I am roasting, the rains haven’t come, our dog has forgotten about the possibility of the sky falling down when there’s thunder and lightning, he has completely forgotten about those traumas (by the way happy international dog day to him and all yours if you have one), and the dust and cross-pollination is just about starting with twenty-six degrees (summer weather) and Spring is not even officially here, so, so far no rains to settle all those seeds that have started to fly around.
On a note of things flying around, it was nice to see a little light grey and white feather slide into the room through the small opening of the window. The universe is communicating with you all the time if you just pay attention and notice the signs.
Alright, back to the topic. For so long I’ve been making decisions from having nothing to lose that it’s been a very long time where I’ve made one decision from the next on just having nothing to lose. The twenties have been an amazing journey on making decisions on the power phrase having nothing to lose that when I reached the thirties, I’ve just processed that massive ride into wisdom. Now, I can tell you what it means to truly come/live from the power phrase having nothing to lose.
Hands up, if you’ve practically used up your savings and now you’re betting on risks as if it’s pumping your adrenaline attracting the next new adventure, yes, I’ve done this, once I got off a speed boat in my twenties which I took from one island to the next in Spain, with no idea where I was going to live that night, I was going to reach the island by evening and then figure it out and guess what? I noticed an American tourist while I waited in the queue, he started talking to me (must have been my travel vibes), we ended up sitting next to each other and chatted through the whole ride. I randomly told him my adventure and as I got off the boat to almost say bye, he said that his friend who could not keep him company booked him into a hotel and would not mind if a friend came too, considering I had no place to stay and that I had to still look around it’s best I just stay there and get back to my original plan tomorrow without paying a cent. He went on to say, his friend is at a conference so he will be pretty bored.
I figured, the guy was pretty decent (you know this from a two-hour talk on a boat) and I had a good judge of character after the first five minutes of chatting with him. So, I said, alright, that sounds like a good deal. Please, no judgement, this is what travellers and backpackers ride on, there’s a sort of wave, synchronicity, alignment with the universe that signs like these are something travellers are quite familiar with.
You won’t believe where that led to, a very exclusive hotel, I had to play cool he said like I was part of the plan (noooo, not his girlfriend, I did get a bit nervous but I had to tell myself chill, the synchronicity is the assurance, of course, nervous by entering and checking back at the sentence that this is free and am I sure of that) and when we got into the room. Jesus, Christ! Freakin massive man! Like so many places to sleep, that every place seemed like heaven. His face was like mine! I would have won the “surprised face” contest though. But wait, wait for it! We decided to open this massive curtain because we heard the sea and Oh! My! God! The balcony was the size of … I don’t know, maybe we could have had a massive party on there calling all the people from the beach to be part of it. The beach was under us and it led all the way to the sea…. No! No! Wait! Listen, that is not it… Two, big, massive, long, chairs with a fat, fat blanket on each sat there on the balcony. I knew where I was going to sleep. I didn’t want to eat or drink anything there, because I knew that I would not be able to pay for that. I seriously tried to act like it’s not the first time I found myself in like a seriously chic place like this one (shhh! Truth was it was the first time). I just sat there, forever on that chair with the fat, fat blanket, my legs stretched out while the American guy took the other one. We didn’t even sleep, we just kept watching wave after wave come in and leave, come in and leave and had a chat right up to I believe three in the morning and then I fell off to sleep on that soft deck chair with the nice fat blanket listening to the sea. I even remembered what I thought before going to sleep, “Imagine living like this always?” His friend did come in earlier on in the evening and had a short chat with us, lucky the guy was Indian, and it did kind of help. I wanted to say thank you but felt a bit judged and I did kind of try and say, “This is not something I do for a living,” I did thank the American man’s friend in the end though considering how I ended up there. One night that was all I needed to get a head start on getting myself settled on the island with my next plan during that economic crisis, thanks to the universe of course. It did cross my mind how much a room like that could cost, but I told myself, “I rather not know. It’s best not to know.”
So, being a traveller, I just listened, saw so many signs from the universe, and I don’t regret those times. It’s when I stopped being a traveller and settled for Madrid again, that’s where the mistakes and connection with myself, the universe and picking up the signs started fading. Back then I didn’t believe in the universe I believed in 100% free will, today, I can tell you otherwise.
This is what you’re waiting for
I believe my pattern on really gambling with life like it’s a stage and I am just playing a part started on the first gamble when I was twenty-one and went with one thousand three hundred pounds to my name to the United Kingdom. I believe this is the origin of the belief and what I formed around the power phrase having nothing to lose, if you don’t come from lack the signs keep coming and it keeps showing you the way, the signs are always coming even if you’ve changed course, however you lose the connection and won’t notice the signs if you too busy chasing lack, almost like what you think you deserve and the universe is going no, no honey/handsome you got this wrong, go this way, I am showing you the way to what you deserve, and still you force the shoe to fit you.
What is the power phrase having nothing to lose actually? It actually means, that YOU have found yourself, that you highly trust that no matter which way the road goes you won’t lose YOURSELF, your people i.e. your friends, the ones who understand this world similarly to YOU, your family understands this world similarly to YOU, Your significant other understand the world similarly to YOU. People who want to be in your vibration get YOU, those who want to do business with you get YOU. If you’re famous your fans get YOU. This is the highest frequency to live from, no matter what YOU do, YOU trust YOURSELF, no matter what you choose YOUR PEOPLE (fans, friends, family, business partners, significant other etc.) trust your choices and decisions. Having nothing to lose means that your alignment and frequency is so high, your struggles, proven, seen, unseen even the uprise (witnessed) and the choices you make is acceptable, is acceptable blindly and trusted by all including YOU. You reach a point where you and yours just can’t get upset by what you do, say, be, act, feel, think, how you live, etc, because there is something pure in this entire moment in your destiny, including who is in it. It’s so meaningful through higher intelligence that ego is non-existent. This is what having nothing to lose means. What leads you here is trusting the signs and synchronicities, what leads you to yourself is trusting in the signs and synchronicities, what leads you to everything is pure TRUST so trust you have nothing to lose when you live from the two Ps, the Power of choosing the Positive. They both fuel each other, you can’t feel/believe of/in power if you don’t feel positive and you can’t feel positive if you don’t feel/believe in the power of trust, signs and synchronicities. If you’re into self-improvement, it’s because you’ve been led to it.
Yours sincerely,
T. Dench Patel
