Education never ends even after you finish university… sooo what does this mean?
What have you been doing in school all this time and what about those that drop out?
DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME – Please don’t drop out of school…
This is just my observation…
When you really look at it closely education is needed to reach the next level. If you don’t gain further education, you’ll always be stuck at a certain level. To reach a high level of consciousness you need to break through the strands of old beliefs and this means working on a new mindset.
Have you ever heard this quote or read it somewhere?
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” – Mahatma Gandhi
What prompted me to write this article was when I looked at how some people end up right at the top of the ladder of success and most think, “That’s it, I reached the top!” They stop learning. One of the hardest things in life is to get on the top of the success ladder but still keep your ego and pride in check. The only way you can do this is by always being a student. The truth is you will never have all the answers. No one does.
What does school teach you? To use your brains… 😀
Okay, seriously …
I think the traditional schooling system needs a revisit because today’s children are highly advanced. Where there’s technology and an advanced generation there needs to be an advance structure in place that needs to be revisited over time not only to protect kids but to help them use mindset to balance themselves. If only we could show kids how to think smart and access the right information to see a more advanced perspective, they could get themselves out of trouble if they don’t have the right support circle around them. Knowledge and access to it is key, the more time they spend on the internet hopefully the more answers they will find to their burning questions, and it all comes to self-discipline and control in a world that’s moving so fast where you can get everything in just a click.
Temptation is everywhere, and the truth is people know they can have what they’re tempted towards most of the time. What we’re lacking at teaching is knowing when you tell yourself I don’t need it and make a smart decision and going through with it by your own will and discipline. That by far will take you very far in life for the rest of your life.
Think about it. What are the challenges that affect your normal working life or the life that you desire? Don’t you just want to come back home to no problems? Or even better, you don’t want any problems. Unfortunately, there are setbacks, problems in the marriage, problems with your children, depression, addictions, motivation, lack of purpose, disability, certain beliefs around money, fear, lack of confidence, and the list goes on…
If we took more time to strengthen the core values of kids maybe they will be stronger against bullies. Strength that really lasts is inner strength. Building inner strength is going to take you very far in life. Who teaches you this and how do you acquire it? Who teaches you self-worth and how do you acquire it? Perhaps if we focus on building children’s values from a young age at school whatever they have to face when they leave school stays with them. Not all kids are lucky and have a great upbringing and building something everlasting at school could be life-changing. It would be great to see how they evolve.
What you learn as a businessman is mindset these days. Inward success brings outer success. Being around positive likeminded people creates strong friendships.
The sooner kids understand the power of their thoughts and engage with their core values they are training to become better at making decisions aligned with what might be right for them.
Now let’s move onto the kid that leaves school. The kids that left school who are now adults are even more successful than me or others in their group. It takes a lot of guts to leave school. It takes a lot of courage to face your parents. It then takes a lot of guts to face others when you’re out there in the real world.
I have noticed the following about the kids who I knew and know that left school:
- They’ve made a decision.
- They knew soon enough what they didn’t want and stood up for what they believed.
- They were confident.
- They’ve had more rejection than others their age.
- They’d had to overcome certain beliefs attached to education and success.
- Some of them were self-taught and were very intelligent only in what they were interested in.
- They started early and became advanced later in life compared to others their age.
- They trusted the uncertainty.
- They turned out to be more successful than the ones who followed traditional ways.
This doesn’t mean they don’t get moments where they too stop learning… this is a global thing.
What goes unnoticed is you still need education to get to the next level depending what your focus is. Whether you leave school or not.
- A marriage doesn’t just become successful people work at it and face obstacles together to make it work. Perhaps a couple will go to therapists, consultants or read books.
- A business in the 80s and 90s was different compared to today. People have mastered the old ways and you have to keep learning new skills to stay competitive.
- To develop healthy relationships, you need to understand verbal and non-verbal communication with children, with your partner, with your colleagues, with your friends etc as well as learning to use the right words when communicating.
People are like engines we can’t run without fuel or electricity in other words you need drive, you need to be resilient and not give up. You have to do what you have to do.
Whatever you’re going to do in your life you will need to learn it or relearn it with times. The truth is you’re going to have to keep learning as you reach new phases and new challenges to make it through.
One can’t be successful with learning right up to a certain level and then say, “That’s it! I’m done learning!”
Choose something you love, learn something you love and love enough to learn…
