So here you are… you’re coming out of high school and heading towards college, maybe university, maybe straight into a job or you’re becoming an apprentice.
Your school might have provided you with lunch or your parents packed lunch for you. Perhaps you got pocket money or not.
The average child would usually get what is necessary. Most families want their children to have a good education, have a good upbringing, have the basics and if possible more, however, there are ups and downs in life.
I’ve noticed as I grew up and till this day notice that when teenagers are starting to consider tertiary education there is a small percentage that knows better while majority consider a career where they think they will earn a lot of money. Most would call that their dream job, yet most wouldn’t know what a typical workday entails once you finished your studies and start working.
Have you asked yourself this?
What would be my typical workday as a starter with no experience instead of what would be my typical workday once I have the experience?
Save yourself the trouble much much further down the line. Why?
Authentic power is when your personality is connected to your whole being i.e. in congruency with what you say and do.
Now that doesn’t mean that if you’re naturally a nasty person you should continue down that path.
Have you ever looked at a wild animal? What do you admire about it?
So, to put this in better context let’s take the example of a leopard. When I (this is just me) look at leopards I admire the following:
- Natural animal instincts and the way they follow it.
- How elegantly they carry themselves when they walk, lie down or play with the cubs.
- Their fur and how they don’t even know that they’re so beautiful to the human eyes.
- They just be.
- They don’t hunt for fun.
Humans are the only species on earth that have greed and seek external power. We are the only species that can act within or out of reason.
However, intelligent, successful people in today’s times understand what authentic power is and understand the dynamics of going with the flow and flowing with the dynamics. They find solutions like geniuses along the way effortlessly and we all know that life is a winding road.
True authentic power means you can create and do amazing things by just being you i.e. no pretence and nothing fake about you.
Look at a few successful people fulfilling their soul passion. Ever wondered what makes them so successful in the industry?
They love doing what they do that they create success effortlessly. They collaborate with people aligned to their values and passion. They attract people who are aligned to their values and passion. They have healthy habits and “healthy success”.
Your personality is unique to you, your experiences are unique to you, your calling is unique to you, and your talents are only unique to you. People who follow this don’t often need to learn much as they already know the fundamentals i.e. working through authentic power. They are fearless at being their authentic self. The fact that you don’t act from ego and act from a place of passion, authenticity with a “why” at the forefront of your goal very little is needed to make you the authority figure in your field i.e. the go-to guru. In the eyes of many, you’re elegant, handsoAme, intelligent… what ever you want to call it because you have no game and greed. People get it, they get you without an explanation i.e. you purely work from authentic power, passion or your “why”. This is why a person like this will always be needed in the industry they dominate, they will always be ready to learn a new way to amplify their passion, or their “why”.
It’s easier to teach a person who is passionate, authentic and knows their purpose than to work with someone who is not passionate, egocentric, and seeks external power.
Working through authentic power will keep you centred while working through external power will make you a puppet of shiny objects. It will never be enough until you get the latest shiny object that caught your attention. Shiny objects come and go, chasing it doesn’t often mean you’ll get it.
