Hey friends,
How are you?
Hope you’re doing well and taking things easy. I know this time of the year it’s crazy all the way to Christmas day for most.
Whatever your situation is, have faith that there will be better days to come.
You’re going to have those couple of days soon to wind down for the year and reflect. I don’t know about you, but so far; a week from
Christmas to the week after the new year things slow down at work. Even if there is no snow, I feel like the mind is silent and reflective.
I really like it when it snows a lot especially overnight and right up to the morning. That silence which I enjoyed when I opened the
front door in the mornings while it snowed lightly, just standing there or even opening my window wide and looking out for a long
long time. I think better on those type of days. I’m not sure if you’ll agree…
That sound that you here very few times in life… the air when the snow freefalls down, that specific sound; a mixture of silence
and the sound of the snow falling down as it cuts through the air.
There is a sense of peace, everything has taken refuge in a warm place or at least trying to stay warm.
You know I’ve released a few books already and for now, temporarily I’m working but soaking up other learnings and lessons.
I’ve come across these words, “Letting the universe know what you want, and working toward it, while letting go of what comes to pass.
No matter what you gain, ego will not let you rest. It will tell you that you cannot stop until you’ve left an indelible
mark on the earth until you achieve immortality. How tricky is this ego? That it would tempt us with the promise
of something we already possess? Relax and dream up a good life.”
What are you doing? What are you doing right now? Are you thinking about a problem? Are you feeling unfulfilled?
Are you failing at what you don’t like to do?
Friend, if you’re going to fail and spend time finding a solution then you’re better off failing at something you love to do
and finding a solution to get to the point you want to get to.
I’m an Indian woman from a Gujarati community and when other Indians hear the surname Patel, I automatically get treated like
I’ve got more than a million zeros to my name but I am just one Patel from many Patel’s who had many challenges.
I always try to go from zero to a hero with the number of failures I had, just like any Mr Smith or Miss Brown,
but among Indians, we really got to work on our mindset.
Finding security in an otherwise insecure world. None of us is safe from nothing. You know municipalities in South Africa
owe our main provider for electricity R441 billion rands (£23 305 968 000,00), and so I figured that even a multi-billion-pound
company don’t have any guarantee of getting their money. If that’s the case then why not have faith in the universe, go for your dream,
work hard and let go of how it will happen. If you have a loss at what you don’t like doing and have no guarantee
to keep your job in the end or the perks you can at least put in the guarantee for yourself. You already possess
it but lack faith. T. Dench Patel, 29 November 2019, 17:42
Friends, don’t leave your job completely, don’t go do something crazy. Just begin slowly. A fresh year ahead of you,
build slowly slowly, and then by next year this time, you will be closer and just keep doing so. Don’t make hasty decisions
or leave anything prematurely until you know you have a back up to take off with your business or whatever goal you
have set for yourself. The truth is you won’t know how it takes off until you do it full-time, so plan well, and don’t stress.
I’m going to leave you with these words that really impact my life, hope it impacts yours.
The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is – Jim Carey
Everything you gain in life will rot and fall apart
and all that will be left of you is what was in your heart – Jim Carey
I’ve often said that I wish people could realise all their dreams and wealth and fame so that they could see
that it’s not where you’re going to find your
sense of completion. Like many of you, I was concerned about going out into the world and doing something
bigger than myself until someone smarter than myself told me that there is nothing bigger than myself – Jim Carey
Open the door in your head and then when the door opens in real life just walk through it. Don’t worry if you missed
the queue there are always doors opening – Jim Carey
Take a chance on faith, not religion but faith. Not hope but faith. I don’t believe in hope. Hope is a beggar.
Hope walks through the fire and Faith leaps over it. – Jim Carey
Sometimes it’s okay to eat your feelings – Jim Carey
That peace, that peace that we’re after lies somewhere beyond personality, beyond the perception of others, beyond invention
and disguise and even beyond effort itself. You can join the game, fight the wars…
but to find real peace you have to let the armour go – Jim Carey
Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world – Jim Carey
Risk being seen in all of your glory – Jim Carey
I have a reset button and I ride that button constantly. Once that button is functioning in your life
there is no story that the mind could create that could be as compelling – Jim Carey
My dear friend, I shall now depart. Have a blessed day wherever you are.
