Hello friends,
Eish, it’s already Tuesday.
I mean where does the time go? If I’m not writing, I’m busy digging my grave https://www.instagram.com/p/CMustbon0la/ man… do I have fun with you or what? Now, at first, when we decide to take the journey of authenticity, we have to free ourselves from the cycle that we have created by playing the parts that were unauthentic to us.
Why do we play small? We play small because we haven’t understood how to step into our power. We hide that which we think others will reject us for, we hide that which in our reflection are parts of us that others could say are flawed. Guess what? Everyone is flawed, it’s part of being human. Welcome to planet earth.
Look, it’s part of growing; that people are going to like us and there will also be people out there that will dislike us. The part about growing is that what doesn’t grow dies, and that goes for the people who want to be surrounded by us or us by them and those already surrounding us. The truth is we have attracted what we have in our lives by our choices and our choices can come from positive and negative thoughts.
Choosing to stay with the dead, (we can take this literally or figuratively), is a choice we make/made. The dead parts of animals, humans, plants all fall away so that growth can take place. For some reason, we as humans, many of us hold onto the dead things (stories, old truths – that we keep and make them part of our current truths, ways of living, default autopilot thinking, toxic people, etc.). Control is one thing we really want and often too much that it works against us. What if, what if I tell you we put way too much pressure on ourselves on the things we are controlling. Why? Take a look at where we are, each one of us. Some of us know each other here, and we wonder why someone is so far in life and why we are where we are. Why? Because we are controlling the things that are not serving us, that we should let go to set us free so that we can grow, while the same can be said for not controlling the correct things that help us with our growth.
I mean scary right? Very scary… Look, what is scarier than death? Lately, I’ve even come to learn that death isn’t something to fear. If this is the case, why are we not fully immersing in the experience of living? I mean even Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, The Rock, Oprah has gossipers who gossip about them and some of the s**t goes out of their control, what do they do? Move on, rise, keep growing, teaching, learning and let go really quickly from a script that someone out there has written, be it true or false. It’s our life, it’s ours to own and the quicker we let go of rubbish, petty things we zoom in on what really matters.
How do the greatest leaders do this? I mean look, Mandela was a leader, yet he, in the initial plight to freedom has also been part of some not so cool things. Leaders, even leaders make mistakes, so if a leader can come clean with his past, shame, regret, guilt, wrongs, rights, hate, pity, sabotage, etc. so can we. A leader understands that after freeing themselves from unhealthy choices, or a way that no longer works to get to the intent by means of the wrong actions and to finally choose truth, that’s when a leader escalates and falls right in front (figuratively) of his/her aligned path, purpose and soul mission. This is where leaders realise that their story, the past even if it wasn’t good or right existed but is no longer part of their present. A leader can truly understand that there are worse mistakes out there and so accepting the mistake is the part that frees people and makes them fearless to live in authenticity, after all, if the worse mistakes were already made, what’s wrong with a mistake that happens unintentionally along the path of alignment? It’s still a mistake, only the difference from a past negative mistake to the present would be that one was not in the most aligned way while the other is more aligned to a mission, vision, intent, and purpose.
See, why it’s so scary? We are currently this fish in a fishpond. When we live unauthentic, we are pushed around by the control and influences externally to us in this pond, that when something goes wrong, we feel it’s the end or the beginning of us, but, what if, beyond that pond was a river leading to the sea, we have no idea what is on the other side? Now the good news, we are not fish, but we seem to think we’re in a restricted pond, what if we leapt, for once? What if? What if we left all the crap and baggage behind? Our bulls**t, our crap behaviours, our past, come to terms that it is what it is, there’s worse out there, and so there’s always that chance, that chance to change ourselves, the future of our lives and the lives of others for the better. Now doesn’t that open the door to more freedom then to keep ourselves and everyone else locked up in our story which often is the case where others will say, it’s your perspective, we see it somewhat different. Now imagine what we’ve locked ourselves into without ever knowing how greater this world can be when we feel free? How greater this world can be when we are received shockingly with compassion, love, kindness, empathy and assistance, no matter what the past was?
Get out of your bulls**t, the world is waiting for your genius – T. Dench Patel, 23 March 2021, 17:41
