Hello,
How are you?
Hope you are doing well on this Wednesday evening.
I was wondering what topic to write about, so I figured I’d just write about what came up for me. You will be challenged day in and day out whether you’re coming up in your life or whether you’re already in a nice cosy place in your life.
I was struggling with something really small and felt a bit guilty about it that lucky I didn’t continue learning the training courses. Let me explain.
I was paying for a subscription to access some high-level education for personal and business growth. I was paying for a subscription which I wasn’t using entirely to its full potential for roughly one year and nine months. See this is Murphy’s law, just when I stopped paying for the subscription, I have some time to learn. This might sound silly to you, but I didn’t know if I have a right to them as I didn’t take advantage of them because I was busy working on my books.
The thing is that even after I stopped my subscription, I still have access to the courses that the firm assigned to me and still assigns to me through looking at my business and what I would need for my next steps. So, I did a couple of minutes of training from the two courses that were assigned to me, hmm okay I’ll own up, I did about forty-five minutes of each course. You know what? I felt a bit guilty but then also not guilty (weird place to be in). I felt bad that I was studying something that I am not currently paying for and then justified it with, “Still, you haven’t really used so much of the educational resources and other resources a lot in the last six months anyway”.
Everyone said and are saying, “But Patel, you have been through so much that you know what? You deserve a bit of slack. You’ve paid all your life and tried doing things right all your life.”
I wonder if I should have thought about the above statement a lot more in my life, maybe I would have been much more ahead or perhaps not?
And then another part of me is saying, “Maybe this is the Universe’s way of giving and just for god’s sake receive it! Take it!”
Another part of me is saying, “But I don’t really know clearly what I can access for the subscription that I was paying and what I should stop using altogether because I am not paying the subscription.”
You know what my intuition is saying, “Do those courses when you get a chance. You don’t owe anyone.”
See why this whole thing about integrity and making the right decision even when no one is watching can be a hard one. There are so many shades of grey.
Decisions should be made with all information presented to you transparently or researched so that you don’t make an ignorant decision.
Is the above statement really that straightforward? If it was, then that’s one less thing to worry about in our lives. At least this part we would know is perfect about us. The truth is no one knows everything and not all information is presented to us transparently. If this were the case, we would have even known the laws and loopholes in politics or any other field of study if we had an eternity to learn and not pay bills.
You know what’s great? This article 7 signs of people with integrity is what affirmed to me that I don’t have a problem with integrity, but I still think that I should have just not accessed the courses even though I’ve just learnt 10% from the entire course and probably 3% is what I really took in.
What determines your integrity is how much you adhere to and how often you’re adhering to your values/ethics or morals. The more you do, the more you’re training yourself, but could you also be cheating yourself?
You know the more significant concept where when something is trying to reach you, are you actually closing the door of abundance? This is a challenge, a very thin line from spirituality and integrity. What’s your opinion?
I would really love to hear your thoughts on this article, your challenges, and how you see or understand integrity.
But before you do that, I went you did some more research so that I can ensure that I have integrity sink into me and look what I found.
